I wanted to bring an incident into your notice. It is happening frequently in Noida and subsequent parts of U.P. Therefore, request you please go through this email carefully.
Last Saturday evening, when I was on the way from a market to my room (sector 11, Sahara Office) and was trying to make an urgent call from my Mobile phone. Two young guys were riding on a bike, came to close to me and within a fraction of seconds, SNACTCHED my mobile from my hand and run away. I raised an alarm by shouting but nobody helped me. The speed of the bike was so fast that by the time, I could do see the Bike number, they were already VANISHED!
I would request you all, please takecare certain things, while carrying your valuable belonging (For instance, your expensive mobile)
1. Don't show your expensive mobile openly while you are in public spots.
2. Avoid talking when you are on the way, if required then please cross check the place before using your handset.
3. Avoid attending a call using phone on right ear as it always face road.
4. Use handsfree, if you want to talk in the open area.
5. Always note down your's mobile IMEI number in a notepad etc... This helps in tracing your stolen/missing mobile.
Still if you lost your mobile then please do the below things:
1. First file a complaint in a near by police station & get a copy of the FIR.
2. Get photocopy of original Bill, the FIR, and your photo id.
3. Go to all the possible service providers (like Airtel, Hutch, and so on) and fill in the application with them. (You can ask your service provider to do the same things)
4. They will keep on tracing the mobile phone.
As soon as the person, who has your mobile with him/her, tries to turn ON your handset either with your own card or with the card of the service provider with which you filled the form, the service provider comes to know where the person is located at.
5. That?s it, once you know the frequency of the person from same area, you can rush to the police to ask for co-operation.
As I have lost my expensive mobile of worth 11K, I would request you all to please takecare of the above mentioned points to avoid such mishappenings.
